How it works

Three steps, one permanent record.

Verify your accounts, register what you publish, and let anyone independently check your Proof Records.

PUDDING • VERIFIED • PROOF RECORD •1

Verify your accounts.

Add a channel and a bio code to prove you control it. We check your public profile for the code.

PUDDING • VERIFIED • PROOF RECORD •2

Register what you publish.

Paste a URL or drop a file. Your browser computes the SHA-256 fingerprint locally — nothing is uploaded unless you add a file.

PUDDING • VERIFIED • PROOF RECORD •3

Anyone can check it.

Visitors can drag the file back into /verify, or compare the fingerprint themselves, to confirm it matches the record.

What makes a Proof Record trustworthy?

Independent verification

The SHA-256 fingerprint is computed on the public record and on the user's device. Matching fingerprints don't require trusting Pudding's servers.

Verified channels

When a Proof Record is linked to a verified account, you can see which channel the owner proved they control at the time of registration.

Anchored batches

Records are batched into a Merkle root and anchored to a public reference. This creates a timestamped, tamper-evident commitment.

Honest limits

A Proof Record is a strong authenticity signal, not a legal guarantee. We say what it proves and what it doesn't.

Use cases

  • Creators proving a photo or video is theirs before it travels.
  • Businesses giving customers a verified source of truth for posts.
  • Publishers timestamping articles so edits and scrapers are easy to spot.
  • Institutions publishing statements the public can independently verify.
  • Government agencies making official notices checkable — and fakes disprovable.
  • Nonprofits and mission-driven organizations getting free institutional verification.
